"It could serve to counteract anxieties. A group serves as a container or deposit for the emotions and anxieties of its teen members. Usually such groups embrace persons of very different characters and these characters represent the different aspects of each one's personality. The whole group can pass from a state of apathy to one of enjoying music within an environment of smoke and beverages and later to another crazy activity. Besides, the group puts a lot of pressure on each of the teen members to make him content with his/her pair that can cause worries on the parents part because their child can't resist the influence of his/her friends".
