 |
At which age should I start taking care of my hair?
For hygienic as well as for aesthetic reasons, your hair needs care taking from the day the day you are born.
|
 |
How do I determine if my hair is damaged, greasy or mixed?
This diagnosis doesn't concern the hair but the scalp that can be greasy, dry or normal.
The normal scalp is one that doesn't show dandruffs, too much grease, neither spots nor scars.
The dry scalp is characterized by dry, dull and matt hair, often showing spots and sometimes also dandruffs.
Greasy hair you can recognize by greasy strands, a greasy scalp and dandruffs.
|
 |
How do I identify the type of hair I have?
Through your physical characteristics that, as I have said before, are directly related to the condition of the scalp.
Greasy hair is likely to get greasy fast again after it has been washed, due to the overproduction of grease by the sebaceous glands. Since this type of hair easily absorbs dirty particles of the environment, it needs to be washed every two to four days.
Dry hair is rough and dull, a consequence of the low production of grease on the scalp. Other reasons for dry hair are perms, hair dyes and frequent exposure to heat.
Normal hair is easily to recognize because it is healthy, shiny and silky.
|
 |
What can I do if I have greasy, dry or normal hair?
If you have greasy hair it is recommendable to reduce the fat in your diet and to eat more fruits and vegetables. Use lukewarm water for washing it but do not massage your scalp with the shampoo in order to prevent that the glands produce more grease.
If you have dry hair, a regular brush will help to spread the grease your scalp produces and avoid dryness. For washing your hair, use lukewarm water and a shampoo that is based on oil.
For normal hair you could for a change use an herbal shampoo that will make your hair look shiny, silky and facilitate its handling because of the natural cleaning substances these shampoos normally consist of.

For instance, having a round shaped face, you should part your hair according to the centre of your eyebrows, add volume, keep short sideboards and the neck naturally shaved in a tapering way and you will have a favourable effect. If your face is thin your sideboards should go as far as half of your ear and with the parting at the side and your neck fairly covered you will feel very well.
